The Relationship between Leo and Scorpio
Let's start with the good stuff.Leo and Scorpio have an honest respect for each other.
As mentioned above, all Fire signs (and Leos are no exception to this rule) instinctively recognize that their bright enthusiasm can be drowned in Scorpio's watery depths.
And all Water signs - Scorpio, for example - intuitively understand that if the Lion's Fire is allowed to spread unchecked, it can dry up their sensitivity and make them almost, if not completely, disappear.
Scorpio would rather crawl away into the darkness of the night than face such a danger, for he protects himself.
Very.
Both of these Sun Signs are Fixed and secretly want to dominate.
Well, at least for Scorpio it is a secret desire, and for Leo it is more or less obvious, and therefore it will seem to the casual observer that Leo must ultimately win.
But not all casual observers are astrologers.
If they were astrologers, they would remember Scorpio's subtle long-term strategy and the power of a sudden attack when it is least expected.
Scorpio is sensitive, he instinctively senses when Leo's pride is offended, and will be able to comfort and protect him perfectly if an outsider has offended him.
However, if the cause of the wounds was Scorpio himself, then there can be no talk of any compassion.
And Leo himself is to blame for this.
I have warned more than once that if you offend Scorpio, he will take revenge.
He stings back.
When Scorpio goes crazy, he goes crazy, and there is no point in even trying to reason with him.
Walking away and waiting for him to stop boiling will not help either.
The anger will not disappear when you return.
Since Scorpios are not the ones to forgive, the only way to deal with them and avoid the sting is to be careful not to push the Pluto-ruled person too much or too often.
Unfortunately, Leo rarely follows this advice.
Circling Scorpio cautiously is for a coward.
The proud and fearless Leo character does not accept such caution, so Leo often disregards all warnings.
Strangely, the relationship between children and adults in this variant is often very close, sometimes touching, even if they are not related.
There is something reminiscent of fatherhood or motherhood in the relationship of the older Leo or Scorpio to the younger Scorpio or Leo.
Perhaps this is due to the fact that the younger Leo has not yet had time to acquire his fiery pride, and therefore is not outraged by the desire of Scorpio to protect him.
Perhaps also due to the fact that the younger Eagle has not yet fully developed the vengeful nature of Pluto, and he can perceive the theatricality of Leo with more kindness.
However, the older they become, the more effort will be required to achieve harmony.
I know a Scorpio boy who developed a deep affection for a Leo man, who was like an older brother to him, while his own older Aquarius brother was struggling with the storms of youth and was therefore cold to him.
When a Scorpio finds something or someone worthy of respect, no one can show it more than a young Eagle, and Mike, a Scorpio boy, found much worthy of respect in his older Leo companion.
Bob, a Leo, patiently and lovingly taught the boy how to catch a lizard to release near a pond, how to fly a kite to soar among the clouds.
He told him stories about hobbits and answered questions about how a car door handle worked with the utmost seriousness, and even sternly told his mother that the boy deserved to be treated with respect and asked, rather than rudely ordered, to run her errands.
All this slowly, probably penetrated Pluto's subconscious.
And then came the day when they were standing together on a rock on the ocean shore, and suddenly a huge wave appeared and completely covered them.
If Bob had not held the boy tightly, he would have been washed out to sea, and the child did not know how to swim.
This strengthened their relationship.
Mike firmly believed that his friend had saved his life, and was ready to honor him always.
Later, Bob was forced to leave for almost seven years.
With each passing year, Mike, the Scorpio boy, grew up and yet never once in all these years did he waver in his devotion to the distant Leo.
He knew that he had a reason to leave, and he had no doubt that his friend would return.
And one day, Bob returned.
Scorpios are rarely mistaken in people.
Between a person ruled by Pluto and a person ruled by the Sun, the relationship is built on the principle of "all or nothing".
Neither the Eagle, nor the Leo, nor the Lioness can be careless about caring.
They will be passionately infatuated with each other or completely ignore each other.
In less happy Leo-Scorpio couples, the initial attraction may last less than expected.
Disappointment will soon come if they discover that their Moon signs are incompatible, because Scorpio's "I'm always right" attitude, although he does not express it, will first irritate and then anger Leo.
Scorpio will not talk about his superiority.
A long, firm look of cold self-confidence can explain this quite clearly.
Leo's indignation may then seem unfair, because Leo also always convinces others of his infallibility, that he is always right and everyone else is always wrong.
(And yet Leo or Lioness is never as sure of this as Scorpio.)
The smug “I am above everyone” attitudes of these two are so similar that they should be more tolerant of each other, but this does not always happen.
The constancy of both signs does not help here either, for it simply speaks of stubbornness, albeit quite gently.
Try, when you have a lot of free time, to convince Leo or Scorpio of something.
You will soon understand what astrology means by a Fixed sign (and this is Leo, Scorpio, Taurus and Aquarius).
Scorpio may look calm during Leo’s monologue, but do not be deceived.
Not a single Scorpio will agree with Leo's opinion unless they are completely convinced of its validity.
Scorpio will either firmly refuse to accept Leo's views, which are so arrogantly hammered into them, or will find a way to act in a roundabout way, on the sly.
That's what it's called.
At least, that's the word Leo would choose to describe how Scorpio glides, sneaks and crawls away.
Leo does not possess such qualities - even Scorpio admits this.
Leos are not secretive, they are just a little bossy.
And spoiled.
And accustomed from the cradle to do things their own way.
But at the same time they are so warm and sunny, so generous and friendly, that even the usually sensitive Scorpio may not immediately sense danger.
Scorpios are gifted with a subtle talent for appearing defeated, without actually retreating an inch, until Leo realizes that the current situation is another Waterloo.
When Leo is offended, he (or she) will either sulk or growl.
Growling will initially make Scorpio's sensitive soul worry, even cause an imaginary retreat.
But if Leo's grievances or anger begin to manifest themselves too often, then Leo can expect only a long, firm, cold Pluto gaze from Scorpio.
Having a Scorpio looking down on you is about as enjoyable as playing in a sandbox full of tarantulas.
If these two can curb their natures and focus their mutual interests on abstract goals, they can successfully interact and pose a significant threat to outsiders who try to extinguish Leo's flame or muddy Scorpio's waters.
With Scorpio, Leo will also have to curb his dominant tendencies.
With no other Sun sign will Leo or Lioness achieve such a depth of understanding
and devotion.
They have to be earned.
And yet, sometimes it is worth swallowing a couple of pills for pride, so that later you will be respected with such power that only Pluto can give.
