Located on the right bank of the Pechora River. In 1903 a well-known explorer of the North VA Rusanov undertook a major expedition along the Pechora River. While sailing past the picturesque steep banks, he wrote in his travel diary a prophetic phrase: "Will there come a time when on the other side of the Pechora the city will be built, and here the park is broken, and this amazing spectacle will be enjoyed by the working people."
Almost 40 years have passed, and the city really arose.
