Dalyan (tur. Dalyan) is a city in Turkey.
The city of Dalyan is located in the extreme southwest of Anatolia, in the district of Ortaca, which is part of the province of Mugla.
Dalyan is one of the most famous tourist resorts on the Dalyan River, near its confluence with the Mediterranean Sea. A colony of English and German pensioners lives permanently in Dalyan. In the vicinity of the city there are numerous ancient archaeological sites and natural attractions, among them the ruins of the city of Cavn, Lycian rock burials on the rocks, Koycegiz Lake, Iztuzu Turtle Coast and others. Pleasure boats sail along the lake and the winding and branched river at the mouth, which is why Dalyan is sometimes called the "Turkish Venice". In these places, fishing for small crabs and observing the life of large turtles is very popular.
